Notes

1. GRIFFIN SURVEY ACREAGE: transactions.py says 640 acres (E/170).
Sandell ch.I says 320 acres. The TV Griffin patent was 320 acres.
   Needs verification against the deed.

2. JC REED SURVEY: Sandell lists 160 acres purchased by Cantagrel.
   Not in transactions.py. reunion.py has commented-out reference
(N/481). Deed exists but is not entered.

3. SANDELL vs TRANSACTIONS.PY TOTALS:
   Sandell: 320 + 640 + 640 + 320 + 160 = 2,080 acres
   transactions.py: 320 + 640 + 640 + 640 = 2,240 acres
Discrepancy from Griffin (320 vs 640) and missing Reed (160).

4. COCKRELL SALE SURVEYS: The Cockrell-to-colonist sales (G/2, G/313,
F/664, etc.) don't specify which survey they fall in. These are
near-town properties, likely in John Grigsby League or other Dallas
   town surveys. Not colony land.

5. IOLA CONSOLIDATION: Two purchases within 16 days in September 1906 —
Remond (Laughlin survey, Sep 10) and Callaway (Coombs survey, Sep 26).
Iola was assembling a large parcel across the old colony footprint.
The Callaway chain (Sharpe → Callaway → Iola) traces through former
   colony surveys.

6. MICHEL AS ACCUMULATOR: Three Cockrell purchases (1857, 1859, 1866)
totaling ~7.75 acres, plus 8 town lots in the 1867 register. Most
town property of any colonist. Correlates with his lime kiln
   operating "for twenty-five years" (Sandell).

7. GOETSEELS AS LARGEST RURAL HOLDER: 871 acres in 1859 tax rolls.
Cordillot says he invested ~30,000 F (~$6,000) in SCEAT. Separate
from colony land — he bought Mountain Creek from Sauzeau.

8. REVERCHON TO GIRARD: Colony-area McCracken land sold within the
colonist network (1880). $100 for an unspecified parcel. Girard
   was a colony family.

9. TRANSACTIONS.PY has a syntax error on line 53: missing comma after
   ('K', 67). Already noted in CLAUDE.md.
